AIM for Youth offers a wide variety of recreational and competitive sport programs for youth, under the auspices of professional athletes. AIM for Youth provides a learning and enjoyable experience for children through a wide variety of team and individual sports. The physical, psychological, and emotional well-being of the participating youth is of paramount concern when designing AIM for Youth athletic programs . The athletic programs will operate at the discretion of the representative pro player and are age appropriate for both boys and girls. Current athletic areas to choose from include: baseball, girls softball, basketball, tackle football, flag football, and soccer. The selection expands dependant upon the desire of the athletes and the demographics of the community they choose to serve. The athletic component consists of several program development options, including but not limited to: Test-Taking Skills and Strategies Summer camps Youth Leagues Municipal recreation sponsored programs Athletic school-based programs Facility Renovations (improvement projects such as football fields, basketball courts, etc.) The goal of the athletic component is to provide a comprehensive physical development and leisure services program to allow youth the chance to develop healthy recreational and physical behavior, learn and experience the fundamentals of good sportsmanship, enhance relationship skills, and offer a place for social interaction through a wide variety of team and individual sports. The coordinated delivery of services results in outcomes that help educate children on the benefits, both physical and mentally, of athletic competition. It also provides low cost athletic programs to disadvantaged youth. |
